Admission Requirements

To enrol in an EIA course, you must be 18 years of age on your commencement day and meet the following requirements.

Applicants must meet at least one of the following Australian or overseas qualifications:

Victoria Certificate of Education (VCE), Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) or equivalent in an Australian State or Territory;
The International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma;
At least four units of tertiary study at an Australian higher education provider;
An advanced certificate (Certificate IV or above), diploma or advbced diploma;
Final year secondary school that is at least equivalent to Australian Year 12;
A foundation program from Australian Higher Education Providers approved by the Academic Board;
Applicants with complete or incomplete overseas tertiary qualifications are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Applicants must provide one of the following forms of evidence of their English proficiency:

Prior English language studies (ELICOS or other preparatory program) at a registered Australian provider;
IELTS Academic minimum score is 6.0 (with no individual band score of less than 5.5) for degree courses, and 5.5(with no individual band score of less than 5) for diploma courses;
TOEFL minimum score is overall score of 64 (Writing 21 or more, Speaking 18 or more, Reading 13 or more, Listening 12 or more) for degree courses and overall score of 53 (Writing 18 or more, Speaking 15 or more, Reading 10 or more, Listening 10 or more) for diploma courses;
PTE Academic minimum score is overall score of 46 (No PTE communicative skills score below 36) for degree courses and overall score of 36 (No PTE communicative skills score below 29) for diploma courses;
Completed secondary or tertiary studies in a recognised English-speaking country.
