GameXcellence Awards is an open competition for game creators. Our goal is to create a vibrant platform for university and college students, fresh graduates, and startups to showcase their talent, creativity, technical excellence and passion for game design and development and potentially initiate their careers in the thriving game industry.

We aim to enable our participants to readily embrace the competition. We challenge and inspire our participants by focusing on attainable themes. We nurture their growth throughout the journey, and we celebrate together on Melbourne International Game Week.

The competition is open to everyone interested. Doesn’t matter if you are a hobbyist, student, startup or just curious about game design. Doesn’t matter if you are a team or play fly solo. If you’ve got a game, you are invited to join and submit it. There is no signup fee or other fees for competing the awards.

Showcase on Melbourne International Games Weeks (MIGW 2023)

Award winners will gain the opportunity to showcase their excellent work during the Melbourne International Games Weeks (MIGW 2023).

 

Prizes and recognition

Winners share a prize pool of $10,000 in value gift cards and earn awesome prizes provided by our sponsors and partners.

Industry networking

Get access to industry mentors and meet up with peers from local and global throughout the journey.

Business opportunities

Exceptional entries may get the opportunity to present to potential investors, publishers and industry professionals for collaboration and partnership.
